Happy Saturday! For this weekend, I have an announcement—I’ve decided to put rarities on the $10 level from hereon in, in addition to the double feature of “animator breakdown” videos.

Today, I’ll be presenting a sneak peek at the newest restoration of a very rare film—The Lady Said No, released April 26, 1946, written and directed by Frank Tashlin as part of the very short-lived Daffy Ditty series distributed by United Artists.

The only material to have survived for this film was a combination of color excerpts and a 16mm B&W print, via Mark Kausler. Last year, Steve Stanchfield located a complete 16mm Kodachrome print that will be featured on his upcoming Stop Motion Marvels 2 set, where it will be seen in full color for the first time since its theatrical release!

If you subscribe to the $10 level, you will be able to watch the first sequence of the film that I have digitally cleaned-up for the set…
