Quick note before I move on to episode 34: We don’t actually know how Tragicomic Ghost got her white hair. Idk if you remembered this but just in case (many don’t and it took me a while as well): Deng Kuan was the guy that Gao Xiaolian was in love with, they were going to get married before Gao Chong decided to betroth her to Chengling instead (though with Gao Chong dead, that’s up in the air I guess.) He was also at the Wedding/Funeral game Tragicomic Ghost held and was controlled by the dudes in the dungeon.

Well, Qianqiao did say she had to „forget all about“ Yu Qiufeng. Good riddance, now she can „stay with her master (wife) for their whole lives“ Everyone has beautiful robes and is surrounded by beautiful sets. If there ever is a compilation, episode 34 will probably take up a solid chunk of it. I’m just. Preparing myself for next week. It’s a good thing you’re watching 36 and 37 combined. I also want to note that the very last scene of 36 is HEAVILY dubbed over, so take anything that’s said there with a grain of salt.

Ahhhhh ah-xu youre really in it now. And yea, i think it wasnt super clear since they had to cut out the actual nail removal scene, but ah-xu removed the nails, which will accelerate his death to days i think, so he could back his full strength to get revenge against zhao jing for wkxs death. So….yea its exactly a romeo juliet situation, which is why zzs was on a whole emotional rollarcoaster in 33. Shock, pure relief, joy, anger, despair, devastation. He was really goin thru it

My heart just bursts for these two. I love them both so much and I honestly never get tired of rewatching their scenes and their story. The things they are prepared to do for each other, yet at the same time they fail to communicate properly at times which leads to these misunderstandings, and yes, this Romeo & Juliet situation like you said. Zhou Zishu pulling out his nails because he wanted to follow his soulmate to death and then he just shows up perfectly fine… and then A-Xu does not tell him he’ll be the one to die in a few days because the medicine Wu Xi gave him granted him just five more days to live. He does not want to take away Wen Kexing’s happiness now that he finally has his revenge. Arghhh, these two! Speaking of “arghhh, these two!” : the whole thing between Zhao Jing and Scorpion King/Twink. SK was prepared to die for Zhao Jing as well - but in return, Zhao Jing would NEVER give up his precious little life for SK. And I think the latter finally realized this in this scene - and decided he didn’t care. He’ll take over the world and will drag Zhao Jing along for the ride whether he wants to or not. Though the fact that Zhao Jing looked so proud despite what SK did to him… basically destroying his twenty years’ worth of planning and scheming… these two, man.

Poor A-Xu going through an emotional roller coaster in these latest eps. Give the man many, many hugs! 😥 I absolutely agree with "I love Kexing's face" in ep 33. All of his years long battles, planning, and machinations finally coming to this, even if the end result doesn't turn out to be what he had envisioned before meeting A-Xu. It's so f*cking satisfying, and to see that mirrored in his face just makes it so much better. Then there's the cherry on top: In spite of being _thoroughly pissed_ at Kexing for deceiving him, A-Xu is still incredibly proud of Kexing for taking revenge without actually killing Zhao Jing, and without burning the entire world down around him.

Like, we are getting to the point where if you miss a line or two of dialogue you lose the plot, because there's so much they didn't have time to SHOW you. Like the Gao Xiaolian/Deng Kuan sub plot. It goes so fast! And, "Oh yeah, I had this conversion I forgot to tell anyone about and we didn't have the money to film it in order to show you!"

God, I can't believe you're nearly finished! There's so much story (and SO MUCH GAY) yet to come, it will all happen so much. The last seven eps are particularly packed with plot but the pacing's actually pretty good, and they don't trade off character moments (like the drunken WKX scene) for the sake of plot. We're here for the character moments, and they knew it. You should've seen my face anytime you said anything about Zhao Jing in ep 33. I love the way Xie'er gets his revenge. It's SO fucked up and fits him so well. That last scene where he's basically sitting on his lap, it just does things to me. I also love that Wen Kexing cut the crown off his head, and I'm sure there's a very specific significance to the wounds he gives him, as well. It's worth noting that the gentle pats Zhou Zishu gives Wen Kexing's face at the end of the duel are a direct callback to a previous episode (ep 28?) when ZZS tells him "if you make a decision without me again, I'll slap your face!" Well, WKX made a decision without him, so.... And WKX being like "Don't beat me here!" :D :D :D Also worth noting that ZZS and WKX wear basically matching robes in ep 34 in the Ghost Valley, and ZZS is wearing The Hairpin, which everyone in the Ghost Valley knows belongs to WKX, so basically ZZS is walking in there like "Hey, Ghost Valley, I'm engaged to him." The teasing comment Tragicomic Ghost makes about "why are you planning this wedding in such a rush?" kind of carries the implication of "is it because you want to have your own soon?" Every time ZZS and Gu Xiang interact it makes me happy. I love that he has her call him brother; it makes even more sense in light of what happens in ep 35. When you're watching extra materials for this show, don't miss the advert (for Cadillac? Some car company, anyway) where Cao Weining and Gu Xiang meet again in the present day thanks to their red bracelets of fate.

Wen Kexing cuts Zhao Jing's limbs just like how his father got his limbs and tendons cut by his master before they were exiled from the Healer Valley. Zhen Ruyu then became a cripple for the rest of his life. and that's exactly what Scorpion needs cuz despite his disappointment with ZJ he still loves him and wants to live with his "Yifu", keep him in their house.

wow i cant believe its almost over... next week and were done. what a journey. ep 33 and 34 are SO GOOD. yes theyre fast but oh boy the satisfaction!!! scorpion twink getting that moment with yifu, every wenzhou moment just hitting that sweet sweet romeo and juliet mark, the found family feels!!! the wedding preparations are scenes i rewatch like at least twice a week. it feels so fluffy and amazing and everything they deserve.

I can't believe we're almost at the end of this series. I'm refusing to think about it too much. What a rollercoaster ride this was! It was soooo satisfying to see WKX cut up all of ZJ's tendons and leaving him crippled for life, just like what his father had to suffer through after being expelled from the Healer Valley. And then Scorpion comes in with the Shut Up™ pill. SO GOOD. LOVE THAT ZJ CAN DO JACK NOW. How far he's fallen 👌 God I was not okay with the drunken WKX scene. Seeing how happy he is and then seeing ZZS tearing up really got me. I was not ready to accept the Romeo and Juliette bs that they were throwing at me. I just want some good gay fun yknow. And yes they definitely made sweet love after that, you can't convince me otherwise 😂 I will write it into existence if I have to! THE WEDDING. THE FOUND FAMILY. THEY'RE ALL SO CUTE. CWN and GX are so adorable. AND CHENGLING IS SUCH A GREMLIN DURING THE WEDDING PREPARATIONS. Did you see the robes on Zhou Zishu at the second half? Dark blue (the blue when KeKing first met him) with catkins designs all over it (his name A'Xu) and little bits of red mixed in (a tie to Wen KeKing). And Wen KeXing's red robes also have some BLUE accents on them if you look closely. So adorable. You KNOW it was Wen KeXing's dong! XD

A'Xiang is so beautiful in her wedding garb. I stan her so much! I love her! It is so rare in Chinese series to have such strong beautiful female characters. I love it when women are involved with the screenplays! I really hope to see more of this in Chinese dramas! I really hope!
