Love it when a characters gets violently pushed away from heterosexuality.

Apologies in advance, but 90% of this is just gonna be me simping over Chiyoh bc I am Very queer and I love women A Lot. "You had a strict rule about taking life, and you broke it. Is it on your mind? Do you see yourself killing him over and over?" "No. I see you." Chiyoh is having exactly none of Will's bullshit and I love her for it. She's just like "No, you're the problem here actually. Don't try to project your shit onto me, dude. I'm not the one who enjoys killing and wants to fuck the cannibal🙄" "I'm not as malleable as you are." My queen knows who she is and she's not gonna pretend her and Will are the same!! She's like "Idk man, if I were you I would simply not enjoy killing people. RIP you but I'm built different." "There are means of influence other than violence." God, Chiyoh is so fucking iconic. She essentially looked Will dead in the eye and told him "you have to kiss him instead of trying to murder him, you dumb gay bitch" and then pushed him off a fucking train. What a queen. I personally have no choice but to stan. (Also she is very pretty and I am but a humble queer🥺👉🏼👈🏼) Look, I love Hannibal, but watching him get the absolute shit kicked out of him by Jack while whimsical and triumphant classical music plays in the background is something that will always give me massive amounts of serotonin. Like, I adore that awful cannibal man with my entire heart, but he deserves every horrible thing that happens to him, and seeing him get fucked up every once in a while by the people he has wronged is very fun and cathartic😌 Mads was actually the one who suggested that Jack should utterly annihilate Hannibal in that fight. Initially it was intended to be far more equal, but Mads was like "I think Laurence Fishburne should kick the shit out of me actually" and he was right!!

I finally caught up with these reactions and I must say. I first watched Hannibal a couple of years ago, which means that I don't remember much more than you do. It's really interesting to watch along with you and see what you come up with and what you know already vs what I know already. It's also very funny because, apparently, we remember more or less the same things lmao. Makes me wonder why some scenes seem to have been more impactful than others, especially since they're all so intense.
