Yesss! One of my favorite chapters, finally. I knew you were going to like this one, it has lots of drama and family reunions. Also, the nets and the reason they were put on the competition seems to be the same on the show. When a Jiang disciple tells Jiang Chen that all the nets were destroyed, he gets pissed, and when he finds out Lan WanJi did it? Poor boy was honoring the angry purple grape nickname

So far the show has followed the novel pretty closely so this is all familiar territory. I look forward to when you get to some of the novel only parts, that will be really fun.

Not to sound overexcited but I was waiting for this all week. Thank you! Reading along is really a great joy. And yes, I am tempted to read ahead but it is more fun this way. When I first read it I was amazed how well the translation works. I have read a couple of fan-translations in my life, mostly from English to Polish and it was always a pain and made me actually learn English to the point I can read and watch anything in original bc I could not bare the translations (right now I can't read official translations even bc sometimes you just know that the translator is too literal) - the point is this translation is so good and uses footnotes in the perfect way so you get all the original world-building and cultural referances without missing a beat. It's wonderful. Also MXTX is a genius and she deserves everything good in her life for that characters descriptions. Thanks again for this - it really made my day better!

Hi! Really enjoying the read along! I was just thinking to myself that it would be cool to listen to the Untamed soundtrack while reading MDZS. And then I was thinking that if you didn’t think it would be too distracting, you could listen too? So that there isn’t just silence in between your (excellent) comments :)
