I think you didnt had the best lyrics videos.....BUT you said you will react to the official MV's and these have ENG SUB, so i guess its alright.😊 They will have the most acurate translations!💕

!!! I'm so happy, I wasn't expecting to get to see this today! All your reactions were lovely as usual ^^ I love this entire soundtrack so much but by far my favorite song both listening- and lyrics-wise is Meng Yao's, so I can't wait for part 2!

Zhou Shen, who sang Xue Yang's character song is internationally known for his unique voice and his amazing ability to hit those high notes. He really is an amazing singer.

I just wanted to also point out that although many of the character songs were sung by the actors themselves, some were not, like Zhou Shen. Ayunga sings Nie Huaisang's song, and I don't remember who sings Wen Qing's song, but it's not the actress.

Since watching the untamed I have been listening to this show's ost on spotify every day, and I always forget exactly how painful the lyrics are. The Lan Twins' and Jian Cheng's have to be my favourites, and I love how Xue Yang's and Meng Yao's give deeper insights into them. Though I agree it wasn't that deeply evident in the show for me either, I don't think it's something Xue Yang consciously thought about. But the line about waiting for karma to liberate him, but being too determined to live to give up himself... it really made me look at his character in a new light, at villains and people so deep in hurt and hate in general, how much suffering they cause that logically karma should have come for them a long time ago, which might be an unconscious deep reason for why they even are doing all of it, but what if it just doesn't happen, and they keep getting away with it, while yearning to be liberated from it, because they are too caught up in it to be able to stop it themselves. It's the same theme of Wei Wuxian knowing that if he gets too consumed by resentful energy he won't be able to stop it, and that in that case he wants Lan Wangji to stop him, to exact his judgement, his karma, on him, and he would accept that.
