Thanks to you, I should be able to upgrade my camera next month. (Patreon)

As is readily apparent, I didn't start Gaywatch with the best equipment. I didn't even start it with middling equipment. I had a $40 light, a $100 mic setup, and a $100 webcam. And that had to be good enough to start with. You could see me, you could hear me, and if I looked blue as hell from the daylight bulbs and lack of color correction knowledge, so be it. The most expensive bits were bought with money spent from birthday and Christmas gifts--I couldn't exactly afford to get precious by demanding the utmost professional equipment. This is why the resolution of my videos often resemble a potato.

Then, after a series of unfortunate events that led to one extremely fortunate event, suddenly I had some options. I could upgrade the lighting, buy some cloud storage space, replace my recently bought computer chair when it fell apart, and still have some funds left over to start saving for something resembling a real camera. So I did. 

While the left over funds made things much easier than starting from zero, the bulk of what ultimately purchases the camera next month will come directly from Patreon. Directly from you. And even though I've had this Patreon for a few months now, and we've had this groovy little give-and-take thing going for a while, it still kinda stuns me. Hell, the fact that I've been consistently Doing Things for seven months stuns me, but that's the anxiety, former depression, and likely ADD talking. (When common Youtube wisdom is to go as fast and as hard you can or no one will notice you, it's a plot twist when you only go as fast as your mental health allows and...people still notice you.)

You and I just keep chugging along this path we're on, eh? It's pretty wild. I can't begin to tell you how excited I am to start really taking those patron perks out for a spin.
