For the previous drawings, the background was really relevant to the overall picture. As a fan of minimalism, I wanted to try making a plain background work with the drawing and see. It turned out okay. Not great, but not bad either. I think the pink ended up a bit too saturated though.

Nowadays, I tend to draw my linework using Clip Studio's vector brushes. It's great because it allows you to make long sweeping brush strokes very easily, and they are very easy to adjust should you need to. When you master them, the are extremely fast too. The downside of course is they sometimes feel a bit clumsy to use.

For this drawing, I decided I wanted to try doing the sketch and linework the old-fashioned way. I tend to avoid doing it this way because it usually means I have to draw the sketch, and then manually trace over the sketch to get clean lines, which feels like added labor for no real reason. But upon playing with Clip Studio's vector erase brush that erases up to an intersection, I thought I could use this tool to clean up the sketch lines to avoid redoing the sketch.

Didn't work out well. While sketching with the stylus feels more natural, it also takes a metric fuck-ton longer for me. This drawing honestly should've been done yesterday, but I spent so much time fighting the linework (and just sort of giving up half way) that, yeah. On top of that, if I make a mistake in the sketch that I later need to correct, I either have to redraw it, or use a clumsy transform that often fragments the lines. So yeah, no more stylus linework.

On better news, I've found ways to really streamline the painting process, which only took me 2 hours this time (and really, most of that time was figuring out how to shade the lube and the condom). In the future, I expect simple painting to be a 30 minute or less process.

I also need to figure out how to draw the breasts better. The hand on the left of the drawing also ended with really awkward proportions, but too lazy to correct it. Basically, I need to tighten up figure drawing. I'm coming off of a long hiatus from drawing and need to relearn a lot of things. And truth be told, I haven't really been drawing that long to begin with anyway.

Hair was great, but still not satisfied with highlights.

I changed the eye style to one very similar (okay, exactly alike) the artist ke-ta, and I really like the result. And it's super easy to do too. Will probably tweak it and use it more from here on.

The caption was very interesting. Initially, her partner was going to be female, and the condom thing was going to be about pregnancy risk and probability. Unfortunately, the scenario ultimately didn't make enough sense (not that it's really supposed to Lol) to run with it. I also didn't trust my math ability. This ended up making a lot more sense and introduces some femdom elements that make this a bit more fun. Will definitely revisit the other scenario at a later date.
