Why hello there! It's time for another update post, though I do have to apologise in advance - this one is a bit shorter than usual. It kind of sucks but I just couldn't get a lot of writing done these past two weeks.

It's gotten really hot and humid, and since I don't have any air conditioning in my apartment, it's kind of hard to focus during the day. I did some writing in my uni's library, but it's exam season so that place is really packed. In the end I just settled on doing whatever writing I can late at night. So progress has slowed down a bit, unfortunately. It is what it is.

Still, I managed to start writing the second half of chapter 4 and finished up Vynn's short story (I'll post it tomorrow, so look forward to that). For that, I decided to focus on the time when Vynn and the Champion are still squires and their friendship only just started developing. I tried to keep every mention of the MC as neutral as possible - let me know if it works or if you feel it's not immersive enough like that.

As for chapter 4, I'll refrain from talking about the plot, but right now I'm working on establishing and describing a new location. Additionally, the story will be diving deeper into how fae are perceived by the general population of Gaiapeia - and what kind of threat they pose. I hope you enjoy world-building and complex conflicts, because there will be a lot of that in the latter half of chapter 4.

I feel like the reader needs to get a good amount of information before they are forced to start making difficult decisions. That's something I personally hate in games like these - not knowing anything about the world and then being forced to make political choices. Though a lot of that information gathering will be optional - not every Champion has to care about the conflict of the fae, though that is a decision with consequences in its own right.

Hopefully, I can get a bit more work done next week. Remember to check back in tomorrow for the next short story. As always, thank you so much for your support and I hope you have a wonderful day!
