I'M BACK!

Hey guys! Want to start this dev log off by apologizing for the lack of dev logs here on the Patreon. I've basically just been waking up, working on Indigo Park, and going back to sleep. There isn't a moment in the day that I'm not thinking about Indigo Park, and I'm doing my best to get as much done as possible!

I also want to thank all the new Patrons we've gotten over the past couple of weeks! It's your guys' support that will get this game up and running!

More dev logs will come soon, but let's get into this one!

I HAVE A GAME ON STEAM?!

I haven't done a formal dev log on here since the trailer dropped, but dude. I have a game on Steam?! This has been a bucket list item for me for a LONG time, so it's so neat to see! Not only that but today we passed 10,000 wishlists for the game?! Off a 30 second trailer?! What in the world?!

Story!

While I can't say anything about the story, we have officially written the ENTIRE script (both gameplay progression and dialogue) for chapter 1. This is a massive step as it will guide us as we put together the last environments, and start the development of gameplay and gameplay sequences. We have one massive Google Doc with this script for chapter 1, and a separate one that details all the lore we have for the game's universe and characters. This story goes DEEP, and I'm looking forward to seeing players break it down!

I basically sat in a Discord call with JakeNeutron and RecD for 2 days straight and just talked about the universe and stories we want to tell. Thanks to this, we're able to hint at future plot points and details through visual and audio story telling in chapter 1!

I can't wait for you all to meet Rambley and his friends!

Gameplay

Not much has changed in terms of gameplay. We're very happy with how the gameplay feels, and we're going to stick to it. We have now have all the systems in place that we need minus a save and load system, which I will be working on soon.

Modeling and Animation

Recently I've been working closely with our modelers and animators. Let me just say, I got the right team on the job. Some of the visual stuff in this game is INSANE. Not even just the 2D animation for Rambley, but the monster animations, the models for collectables. There's some cool stuff in this game. I've also figured out a system for creating first person animations, so I've had a fun time learning some 3D animation while working on the project!

THE CAT!

As you guys know, I let the Patrons choose what color cat we have in the game. It's a bit janky right now, but you can now pet the cat in game! :3

Environments

I've had a BLAST building up some of these environments. Now that I know exactly what scale chapter 1 will be at story while, I can go all in and create a fun and visually pleasing area for you all to explore!

More news coming soon!

I'm planning on several more Patreon posts about characters, designs, etc. in the coming weeks, so bear with me. I'm pouring my life into this game right now, and I want to get as much done as possible before school starts back up later this month.

That's all I've got for right now. Keep an eye on here and socials for more info.

Oh yeah, before I forget. Someone wanted to stop by and thank you all for supporting the Patreon

Don't leak this, thanks bye!

Ann

A bunch of other Patreon setups I'm pledging to are having weird payment issues today. Please let us know if you have any issues getting the funds from us, we'll try to figure out some way to make sure things go through.
