Kouhai-chan from Tawawa
supposedly for today Monday
Do you guys think I'm crazy or mad in the head for thinking I can get this one done today? Surely if I say that as a question; my brain prolly thought it otherwise. Unless

Also when I do animation stuff, my rough is always rough, and not proper. I always just go with how I had in mind for the motion play inside my head

If you think you can get it done in one day, more power to you. But think of how much better it'd look if you took a few days to make it looks REALLY good.

can let it in the oven for abit and actually be chill with the time for it. I guess I can just do the wholesome Ai-chan for now it eventho I have animation of her too. But I prolly will revisit that one down the line (just like how I always been in like borillion years or something)

Yeah I mean either way, it's really always better to do stuff at your own pace. It's really just my opinion at the end of the day. If you do feel like you need to get a piece done ASAP, then go ahead. If you feel like the quality can be better and you want it to, so you end up taking it slower, that's fine as well. Your art's great either way.

I fight myself with that occasionally; on the other hand, the more I spent my time on the canvas, the more it "melts" and demotivated me in the long run, which is such ashamed, thus I always have my brain limit the time spent on it so that I can move onto other piece easily; which is why often than not I try not to hyperfocus with like going for the *clean* look. So when I set in stone with one ideer; I cook them as soon as I have it, then lay them down in one go. Works well for me. More often than not; if I do this, I pre-emptively always have like bazingallion sketch tabs on the go with the piece ready to be refine on, but no win win regardless cause when this happened, the "fresh" one after the other sketch gets the full render treatment, and the previous one before the rendered piece sketch, if lucky, 1-2 of them survive to get revisit. I should stop yapping, this is what happened if I open my mouth and just go nuclear with what I had in mind I should just "yes and no" and work on the canvas instead 😔

It's no big deal if you yap about it honestly, doesn't bother me, it's good that you want to vent about frustrations. If you letting it sit in the oven, rather than tinkering with it on a canvas. Then finishing it in one go, or two if it's multiple pieces then do that so your mind doesn't wander and you can fixate on the goal before you. In retrospect, it's actually really good that you do that cause you have a specific image in mind and grind to bring it to reality. And if some sketches don't get past the sketch phase cause attention shifts, just save the few sketches that stand out and you like. Then transition them to another piece with a different character as inspiration, whether you follow the sketch directly or change upon it.
