Ya'll voted and ya'll did not let us down! Absolutely a great film from Start to Finish! Thanks for the solid recommendation team!

Forrest Gump is an icon and I am so glad we got to experience it here with ya'll.

Excuse me while I spend the rest of the day doing good things for others lol bc that movie will have you opening doors for strangers!

No matter how many times I have watch Forrest Gump it hits me every time. I love this movie so much and your reaction was everything I wanted it to be.

Too much of this film reminds me of my past and people I've known. The bridge scene reminded me of a 16 year old neighbour I knew when I was 12 (I'd known her several years at that point). The whole throw back to them praying, her father was a very strict religious man. She overdosed and drowned herself in a lagoon when she was 16, after giving away quite a few of her things. I always felt I should've seen it coming.

The running part, I always felt it was implied that he didn't quite understand the reason he did it. Sometimes you can do things for emotional reasons you've not yet dealt with or accepted. It's very clear he was running away from missing Jenny, not to mention the trainers (sneakers/running shoes she'd given him). So it was a way of escapism but also remaining attached, just in a more simplistic manner than most people try to escape. Like her for example, her sleeping a lot when she first arrived, that's a very clear allusion to heroin withdrawal I would assume, but he didn't realise that. It really is a testament to the fact you can be good to people without understanding though.
