Episode 10 Update - 07/06/21 (Patreon)

Okay, we're reaching the final stages here.

The ending song is finished.  The musician is now working on the end credits song.  I've now completed the sound mix and passed it off to my sound guy.  He has assured me that he can complete the episode's audio by mid-August.  

Right now, I have a guy doing some asset work on scene A, my snow guy is handling the snow for scene F, and I still have my animator doing detail work on F.  All props are complete, save for one edit on F and some background stuff that's needed for scenes A and F.  There is still some detail work that I personally need to do for F, but I can't continue on F until I've gotten everything needed on it from my hires.  However, everything I need to render is finished for all scenes but A and F.  

A September release now seems likely.  My only major concern is my snow FX guy.  If he can't complete his work within the next month, it will set me back, so I'm hoping he'll be able to finish his bit in a timely manner.

I now need to transition into lighting the scenes.  I'm going to be scrutinizing every scene, one at a time, and making sure I haven't missed anything, then lighting and doing a final render pass on each one.  I think I'll do B, D, G, and C, and hopefully A will be ready for lighting by the time I finish, then F after that.

However, I'm right about to leave for a few days to spend some time with my family, so I'm not going to jump into lighting until I get back on the 12th.  While I'm away, I'll continue to correspond with my hires and do as much detail and fixing work as I'm able, but I won't be able to start lighting or rendering anything until I get back.  Because of this, the next update won't be until the 20th when I can report how lighting is going.
