Episode 9 Update - 02/02/18 (Patreon)

The working title for this episode is “Charmander Must Die”. I’ve been keeping a couple of journals from the viewpoints of the characters, such as the one for Squirtle, pictured above. I take the script with me everywhere I go, I think about it every day, and I have been making constant revisions for the past month of so.

The script writing process has been challenging. I’ve been struggling to write this one because this episode is very important to me, and in many ways, I have been leading up to this for a few years. Many might consider this the “climax” of the series. Getting the dialogue correct is crucial. I’m quite frustrated at the current state of it. But as tempting as it is to move forward right now, I can’t allow myself to do that until I’m satisfied with it.

Additionally, work and school have been a huge burden lately. I’m unable to dedicate as much time to this as I’ve wanted and have had to adapt. Fortunately, a lot of my ideas have been given ample time to stew, and I’m glad that I don’t have to rush this project. As much as the long wait times really suck, I feel fortunate that I get to produce this episode exactly the way I want it.
