Recurring Payment paused for November + December (Patreon)
Content
Just wanted to mention here, shortly after posting the recently completed Gilgamesh pinup I paused this month's recurring payment for the patreon page, so there won't be a recurring charge on December 1st.
Since I've been devoting a lot of time to my game dev work this month, I wouldn't have the time to complete the monthly minimum amount of illustrations I outlined for the page, hence my decision to pause. This has also been the reason for the majority of the page pauses this year. I'm also going to be pausing the page in December for the same reason, so there won't be a charge on January 1st either. During this time, any illustrations I do complete will still be posted, but there will be no recurring charge regardless.
I want to mention this too because I've gotten questions about it: if you do not cancel your pledge, you will retain access to the page while it is paused without any new charges, and you'll be able to view the work I post while the page is paused. If you cancel your pledge, you lose the access, and you won't be able to view any new work.
Like usual, I'll be posting WIPs of things I'm working on to the $10 tier discord channel, like this WIP that I just posted there:
To close out this post, I wanted to type up something a little more substantial because I've gotten some DMs where people think I'm taking a break when the page is paused (because that's how patreon automatically words it when a creator pauses a page), but I'm pretty much always working on something, hahaha.
I pause the page whenever I don't think I'm going to complete the minimum amount of illustrations for a single given month. It's a bit tricky to balance illustration time with game development time, and at the moment I'm not comfortable changing my patreon page to reflect support for my game dev work until I have a demo for my current main project (spirits of the novren):
And I'm still working on putting that demo together, as it is a much more complex and ambitious project than the first iteration of the game (which was called Eldet), and significantly more work than making the Hello Eastwood demo. Once I have the demo for Spirits completed and posted, I'll consider changing the patreon to reflect that supporters will be supporting my game dev work (and all of the patron requested pinups that I'll continue working on). I'm not sure when that will be.
As I said earlier, I'm still continuing to work on illustrations, and will pause the recurring payments for any month where I don't have time to complete the minimum number of monthly illustrations.
Sorry for the wall of text, wanted to make sure I mentioned the various things at play, hahaha. I hope you're all doing well and settling in nicely for the holiday season!
