truth be told I don't actually think they are THAT rich. Esp Ateez. They probably get like $10-50k per month which is a lot but not like multi millionaire rich. But I'm sure they have pretty decent savings bc they don't usually spend in on anything bc they don't have enough free time. xD But yeah, there was Chan's live once where chat asked him if he knows his networth and he looked it up and said it was way off and he wished it was what google said. Even now the number is like 2-5 mills and it was a few years back. I know regular business dudes with as much net worth. Even if you compare like BTS, undoubtedly the best payed idols in kpop they are usually estimated in 20-40 mills, if you compare it to Taylor Swift who is a billionaire it's order of magnitude numbers. Idols just don't make as much.

yeah companies take most of it but that said I'm pretty sure it's company who pays their rent and like all travel and most of the food. Idols who produce always get the most bc of royalties so 3racha and Hongjoong are set for life but really you gotta invest for any of it to add up to something big. I know Hobi bought and and then sold a few of luxury apartments a few year back making himself the richest BTS member, which is kinda hilarious. Don't know their economical status now but it's way less than most mainstream western artists have. =/ I remember there was a picture about artists profit cut by company and SM artists where getting like 5% of what they actually earned. Idk how true that is but some of these companies are really greedy.
