I loved your reaction, this is one of my favorite albums ever! Yoongi is so amazing 💜 I just wanted to let you know that there is a song in between people and set me free called Honsool that wasn't on this playlist that you should check out when you get the chance 😊

Dear my friend is about a real person, not so much a concept. His friend is also the inspiration he took for his verse in the song spring day by BTS (once you get to that) and probably spring day as a whole. The song is about missing people. This isn’t me speculating, we just got the BTS biography book that confirmed it! And yoongi has talked about it before. I hope after d-day and the documentary, you also watch his concert that was recorded because he’s so good on stage. There’s so much to watch for BTS but I hope you enjoy your journey!

Just really quickly about the military service thing. So since 2018 I think it's been a big thing for the entertainment companies and the gvt to discuss other artists (besides the athletes and current musicians who qualify) to grant amnesty and special privelage to opt of service. Discussed by everyone except BTS and BigHit. Publicly it's never been put out there by themselves. Anyway all the original big boy companies and the rest ( not BTS not BigHit) at least 20 of them got together and put forth the idea to gvt like yo our guys should be considered using BTS as a main example. The gvt was like alright cool we hear you. For now anyone whose recieved the Hagwon Cultural Merit Award can put it off until they are 30 years old. Well those guys were upset. Why you might ask? Well. BTS are the youngest people and only Idols to recieved the award of any class (hagwon is 5th class cultural merit award goes from 1 - 5) so they called it the BTS exception and got shit for the breather they didn't ask for lol. Now up until just before the YET TO COME in Busan concert the gvt was dangling the possibility of special service or no service regarding BTS getting everyone really worked up. It became a country wide debate and it's really big deal in Korea. For months and months and then BTS announced that after the Busan concert BTS members would one by one start the enlistment process taking all that power away and deciding for themselves. *sigh* you could probably find a better explanation but that's the gist. I just wanted to be clear about this. I know it doesn't make sense but even now BTS doesn't get the respect you'd think they would at home. Politics and business is always like this you know. I'll look and send some links of you're interested in what I mean. There's receipts lol anyway I'm loving the videos sorry for the long comment 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Ehhh, I disagree. There are *tons* of kpop songs about love, I just think the groups u have most on the channel (Skz & BTS, dunno about Ateez...) just aren't super romance focused. Although they can be in a way that's very... self-insert-y. But that is diff from a song aimed at fans. Like for Skz Case 143 is not even similar to #LoveSTAY. Both are love songs, but one is also very much a fan song. It can become a "problem" if ppl think the song is about a specific person, but my point is no. I think straight love songs are very common in the wider kpop world. Edit: ...i just re-read that, I didn't mean straight as in hetero x3 I meant straightforward, just plain & simply a love song.
