They actually did end up releasing rereleases of songs as 8 so they had to end up rearranging most of if not all of their songs from when they were 9 to 8 members

Felix’s elimination never fails to make me cry 😭 Especially Chan’s reaction to him being eliminated becuz Chan’s the leader, older, and they’re both from Australia I feel like he had a lot of guilt with Felix’s elimination.

No matter how many times I watch this show I end up balling my eyes out 😭. I will never get used to it lol. I literally can't fathom StrayKids without Lee Know and Felix. I honestly don't think they'd have come this far if they were missing. If you subtract ANY one of the current 8 members, StrayKids would not be StrayKids. It'd be like missing a body part/limb. They just belong together and I'm so happy they were able to stay together ❤.

Tears flow everytime I see this episode

This episode is the worst! But after going through the survival show as a whole you realize just how much the members mean to each other and how happy they are just to be able to make music together. Only watch the survival show if you are ready to be in love with Stray Kids, a family that makes great music and loves one another. There are clips later of both lee know and Felix making jabs at jyp for eliminating them https://youtu.be/Blp4xm_sqzo https://youtube.com/shorts/Fqria0TDqCE?feature=share3

11:22….. yrs bam bam is Chan friend, along with Jackson Wang who also is part of Got7. Day 6 are idol he’s hugely looked up too but he knows a lot of idols too from his years training. Bam bam And Jackson though he was particular close with and bam bam is the one who made him go have dinner and asked how he was doing leading team and the missions. Think that lunch helped Chan a lot refocus and boost confidence to push more.

47:20, you mention JYP and how critical he is, it’s because Chan WILL debut, and WILL be this teams leader, that’s fact, it’s going to happen, so JYP, needs him to be the Idol they all strive to be like, he’s the heart of this group, and JYP, needs Chan to believe in himself more. He still struggle with that today, If Chan only saw himself the way we all do, and JYP sees it too, so he needs Chan to believe it and be it. And Chan 1000% became what he needed and more. JYP is Soooo proud of Chan and straykids. Him being on the filming of s-class shows that. He knows what a superstar group he has. And it all started here, in this room, in this moment, this elimination is what drove them all. This pain right now is why STRAYKIDS are who they are today. And why once you know this start, you can’t not utterly love every ounce of there being, and Chan as a leader is KING level. At 25, that young man is a very rare find.

There is an element of dramatic irony to this show when you watch it now that makes the eliminations hit so much harder. Lee Know hurt, but you survive it because you know he will come back, but Felix, it destroys every time. Firstly because Felix has such an open heart and the Felix we know now is nicknamed 'Stray Kids' happiness', but mostly- for me, because of Chan. Chan was going through it on this show, but knowing what we know now, we're aware his mental health wasn't too great at this time, he was living without family since he was 13, but everyone he grew close to debuted or left, he finally builds a team that's like a family, better yet finds a true brother in Felix, then just as his dreams are about to be achieved it's pulled from him. Chan's life seems like a pattern of you never quite make it, and you lose everyone at this point. I agree that you can't really hate JYP for his role in this show, he's a business man here- but the way in which he talks and the blunt clips we get shown can make you angry at him (even though it's edited and might just be the general cultural style of criticism) because it's like, here is a 19 year old doing the job of a whole professional department building a team, running it, also producing for them, and working on his own skills- and hearing 'Chan you need to do better' makes you rage a little because he's barely getting any sleep doing the jobs of like 3 grown adults already. Even recently Chan said on a livestream the reason he sleeps with a special pillow for his neck is because when they were prepping for the dance battle in the survival show he was meant to flip but in practice landed on his neck and one side of his body was briefly paralysed. So for me, Felix's elimination hurts so much even knowing he comes back because of the extra emotional pain it puts them all through. At this point they kept mentioning Lee Know and keeping him in the public's mind I think with a hope there could be a second chance, but the minute you take away a second member it feels all the more real that there will be no second chances they're really gone. Knowing they didn't have the easiest first couple of years makes it feel all the more precious to see their successes and achievements now. (Also yes, their SKZ 2020 and SKZ 2021 albums are 8 member rerecordings of almost all their previous music, so sometimes you might hear ppl request an 'ot8' version of a song and that's what they mean because they redid them.)

2023-07-06 02:54:34 I dont agree that the trauma and stress they went through necessarily made them better, they would have found their way. They are all gems, they are all uniquely talented and yet they fit together so well. Chan found them and formed this amazing group. If anything I think it hurt them, Felix is such a softy and judging by his recent reaction to the survival show hes still traumatised. He was working hard before the elimination, they all were. If anything I think it might have hurt Felix a little, especially earlier in his career. In my eyes its just unnecessary pain for the sake of ratings. It did make for an excellent origin story for Skz though, so if that was the plan, props to whoever came up with it, genius move, not enough to excuse the cruelty bordering on child abuse though. If any of them were my kid I would have asked them to leave after episode 3 at the latest. Lives to short.

Seems like you missed the moment where Changbin's voice cracked while doing the “i’m on a hellevator” and Felix's mistake in the hoverboard part during yayaya. Mystery listeners notice that and the captions show it too.
