always love seeing bts reactions!! i think mono genuinely changed my life. its always a lot of fun going back and listening to their earlier works knowing the experience and growth since then 💜

J-Hope's EP was such a vibe the whole way through. I'm glad you didnt listen to the remix for What if..., because its barely remixed and REALLY breaks up the flow of the EP, i feel like it was a straight up mistake to include it. and yeah they go by so fast, even if they're a lot longer than the stuff on Jack in the Box. I'm personally a sucker for lock/unlock but the whole album is such a great vibe, throw on whatever, I'll let it ride. RM, much like for indigo, is a contender for Album of the Year for me. It doesn't have the repeatability of a typical kpop album, as to be expected, because I think RM still views album construction like people used to: where you put it on and play the album, front to back. He's even got the classic interlude for you to flip the vinyl over, lol. This kind of hurts the replay value of individual tracks because i think preceding and following tracks really add to the experience for these, barring maybe the two singles. Even then one of them is 6 minutes long lol. I TOTALLY feel you on the emotional intelligence power up. I think RM's music absolutely always makes me THINK. Even just internally. He is my ult bias for a reason, amongst a long line of kpop biases over a decade or so, and its because just like... man, I just respect the SHIT out of him. I think he's such an incredible artist and genuine person. I love how uniquely vulnerable he is with some of his work. I wrote a whole review and lyrical breakdown for it after like 5 listens or so but I think it would genuinely break the character limit here. I'll spare you. I definitely agree that Around the world in a day is one of my top tracks, but I would say Domodachi is my favorite.
