Hey all,

So, the other day I posted a poll and asked you guys to select any of the shows you were interested in. Admittedly when I posted that I wasn't 100% sure what I was going to do with the results but now, having seen them, I have made a decision.

First of all I want to say that NONE of the shows listed on that poll will be disappearing permanently from my watch list. I simply want and need to step back from several of them for the time being but they will return eventually. I understand that if your no.1 show is gonna be on hiatus then you may want to leave this Patreon for now and that's, of course, totally okay. Thank you for every bit of support and, regardless of whether you come back one day or not, I hope you enjoyed your time here.

Alright, this is gonna get long but I'll try and keep things as simple as possible, please bear with me.

I have taken the results from that poll and, combining them with my own preferences, made a decision to put several shows on temporary hiatus. I'll explain my reasoning below if you're interested but first let me break down what's happening with each show. We'll start with the ones that are staying:

  • Earth Arcade 2 & Seventeen Nana Tour - will continue aternating until Nana Tour is done and then EA2 will be weekly (unless something else takes the slot)

  • Going Seventeen, To Do TXT, ZBTV & Vanner Picnic - these are the boy group shows that will be staying permanently/until they're finished. I will be covering these as close to weekly as possible

  • Time To Twice, Le Sserafim Content, Kep1erving & 1,2,3 IVE - same as above but girl group version (LSFM content includes Fearless Kkura, Day Off etc.)

  • Monsta X-Ray 3, Bon Voyage 2, PangPang Stayc, Learn Way & Level Up 2 - will continue until finished

  • Youth With You 2 - will continue, hopefully weekly along with I-Land 2

And now, the shows that are going on hiatus:

  • SKZ Code, En O-Clock, Cravity Park, Treasure Map, Wanteez & Tricky House - after a brief hiatus, I will start re-introducing these and rotating through them. For example, in July I hope to bring back SKZ Code and En O-Clock for Q3, and then swap them out for Cravity Park & Treasure Map in October for Q4 and so on. I haven't fully settled on my method for this but that's the rough idea. This group of shows will also include Bon Voyage & Level Up Project once I've finished the seasons I'm currently watching

  • GFriend Memoria, Weki Meki Mohae, Girls Re:Verse & Cheating Trip - as these have a fixed number of episodes remaining, I will be going through one at a time and finishing them up. I plan on starting with Memoria in June, finishing that and moving onto the next one from there

Okay, hopefully that all makes sense. I've tried to make it as simple and easy to understand as possible bc lord knows I've confused myself in my head a few times with it lmao.

Anyway, that's that so now let's get onto my reasons for doing this.

  • First, while April went a lot more smoothly with regards to pre-filming, I still found myself struggling at points with the sheer volume of different shows and as I said on the April schedule post, if I kept having issues I would make some adjustments - so here we are

  • Second, one of the reasons I struggle with all the different shows is simply because a lot of them are boy groups. Now obviously I do love BGs and do enjoy their content, but I simply am much more of a GG fan (I think I have maybe 1 BG in my top 10 groups rn oop) and recently I've been struggling with the fact that I haven't been able to enjoy as many of my fave GGs' content as I'd like. For example, I really want to bring regular NMIXX content back (and Itzy, WJSN, Fromis_9 etc.). I would also like to dive more into Kiss of Life's content, and H1-Key and TripleS and so many more. Honestly the list just goes on and on and I think by reducing and reorganising the massive amounts of BG shows I'm doing, I'll be able to make space to slowly add little bits of my GG faves in (should note there are also other BG shows on my list that I can get to but I admit that they're lower priority right now)

  • Third, I've been trying to make room for more one-off variety episodes for AGES and I'm determined to make it happen. I wanna get to a point where we're having 1 episode each of Weekly Idol, Lee Mujin Service & Idol Human Theater a week. I would also love to start getting to older, iconic episodes of different shows (eg. Running Man, Knowing Bros and so on)

There are probably more reasons but my brain hurts so that'll do for now lmao. Again, I hope it all makes sense and I hope people aren't too disappointed by the shows being put on hiatus. Like I said, I understand if this means you want to leave the Patreon I just hope you understand that I'm doing this for good reasons. It's like pruning a tree, sometimes you gotta cut things away so the whole thing can continue to grow healthily. That's basically what I'm doing.

Anyway, I'll shut up now. I'll be posting the May schedule post shortly so you can see how all of this is gonna play out for next month at least.

Thank you for reading and for being the wonderful community that you are.

See you soon!

-Kaia
