i want kind of a Cor v Clarus about Gladio

'hes going to hate you!'

'you better start training Iris because at the rate youre going - he'll be dead before 20'

those are Gladios medical files

i imagine that from his training and his fathers words Gladio doesnt have a lot of autonomy

He sees himself as a vessel to protect Noct

And one that will do it until he cant and then someone else will take over

Cor sees himself getting killed stepping between Noct and some danger

So he wants him to understand that hes playing the long game

and that theres a TEAM

and he has to recognise that someone else will also have the opportunity to react

Like Prom will take down the target from a distance

Maybe even Clarus feels he would have personally benefitted from being a bit more detached

and thats what he was trying to instill in Gladio

But he just made him feel like eh didnt care if he died or not and he would only be proud of him if he protected Noctis

So now Clarus will start to repair things and maybe train him with a gentler hand

Like im imagine him standing in on some of Gladios training sessions and picking them apart after

And in his mind its for Gladios benefit

But Gladio is thinking 'i will never be good enough'
