Drawing quick Portraits (Patreon)

So when i drew the top left i was using it to warm up - you can see i didnt get the angle quite right to the ref image

I was explaining how  map it out - I usually look for shapes on the face and copy them over - the shape of the forehead thats made by the hair, the band across fromt he brows to the eyes.

If you hold your pen up and get lines like the corner of the brow to the nose or lips you can start putting down guides that will help you place features.

Its not always a good idea to go in and try and draw the nose - you need to make sure its in the right place first.
