Mostly in this sketch I wanted to address the cleavage. When youre drawing breasts liken them to a water balloon. They will be affected by gravity - the smaller they are the lighter they are and often perkier (Not always the case everyone's different) With a bigger chest - unless theres implants involved they will hang lover, sometimes flatter. The clothes being worn will affect the shape of them too as a push up bra will give a fuller more shelf like appearance.

The other thing is drawing kisses, the tilt/angle of the head will make it look more natural. They can be facing eachother straight on but one is probably going ot have to tip their head back - this would work for height different too

Don't be afraid to use a pose more than once! Chances are if you draw the same post from scratch you wont draw anything identical. But when youre a multi fandom fan you sometimes cant decide WHO to use the pose for. When I do that I usually change something small about the pose and then you've two totally different poses.

For the Aerith pic I used layer clip on a small frame over the coloured splash. I used white and then blended the 2 colours. I think it looks neat and is a very simple way to finish a pic. You could use it with a pattern too.

Sometimes when Im drawing sketching or lining...usually lining, I'm aware that the drawing is not the right size but it's going really well so I see no point to stop when it's flowing so well. When I'm done I resize the area and move on to the next. Sometimes its better to keep going while the motivation strikes.

The other image - you might be drawing an image and realise oh that torso is too short, just split the sketch - theres no need to redraw anything as the lines are not going to change much in that blank space - you're still connecting the lines.

I love to sketch really lightly in sweeping movements. It builds the form and sets a nice flow

Also when you draw lightly its very easy to just press down and do a darker line for the final decision. If everything is dark it will get confusing very fast.  If you find it hard to go light you could use a layer with a lower opacity to start and then another on full opacity about it to finalise your sketch.

Just a little on how i break down the torso in most of my sketches

So in the bottom drawings i drew the first straight down view. Then I used the free transform - hold down ctrl to move individual point (Im sorry to mac users Ive never used one so I can't offer the equivalent)

I skew it to that trapezoid shape and then even further to make it more exaggerated. Then if you imagine you're adding clay on top of the stick person to build it up. Do you see how the foreshortening is all figured out for you. you could use this for an up or down shot too - just start drawing from the side you would be viewing it from.

A little note on visual framing - how the body is angled is important to show how a character is feeling. Sometimes artists can unintentionally create lines that make us read a drawing differently to how they intended. If you want to keep the viewers focus on the drawing then you have to use visual cues to draw them in (eg lines leading in to the pic rather than out)

Some NSFW tips. The pubic box for helping with placement

With the way the pubic bone angles in when youre standing relaxed from a side view you wont always see where the D starts, same for the V. Now obviously a person can angle their hips to push it out which - if youre drawing NSFW you're probably going to see a lot. Just make sure the bum follows the action with those hip dimples.

I'll do a more indepth NSFW guide at some point

Use the tools at your disposal, there's no such thing as cheating because you rotated or transformed something. Is it easier - yeah, its supposed to be. Its like lightboxes for trad work. Work smarter.

LAST NOTE

So there was something I mentioned in the previous, about where I sometimes draw a bunch of lines just testing and figuring out where to put arms or legs. WELL, theres a term for that

Iterative Drawing

I was watching a friend of mine streaming these gestures and she had mentioned the word a few times and I was thinking...what does that mean...??

"There is an aspect of drawing called 'iterative' which means that drawing is centred around trailing and testing and making variations. ... This allows you to discover what works and is at the core of what you need to do in order to find new imagery."

I love learning new things.

Naturally I started looking more into it and I found this video - I havent watched it all yet but I was really interested in what he was suggesting people do around 10 minutes in. I thought it was something we could maybe try together and if you want to share your progress in the comments of this pose and we can all check eachothers stuff out!

All of the images are attached so you can download because I know the writing is impossible to read. I added the number of the the image under each so you can find them easier
