Promptis - Withdrawal

Im imagining a scenario where either they've been captured long enough for Prompto to develop an addiction or someones been slipping him something surepticiously - some hunters that were working alongside them or our handsome trashman.

They end up in a situation where they're stuck and Prom is starting to shake.

In the first scenario Noctis would clearly understand what was going on. The second he would be confused

OH, the stream of thought is flowing.

What if it was prescription meds but they were HARDCORE.

Maybe Prompto could no longer afford them - he didn't tell the others that he was on them because he feared they would see him as unfit to travel with them so he's been buying them whenever he can sneak away from them.

Cue them not having money for a while and his prescription runs out. Withdrawal happens and it's terrible. Noctis doesn't fully understand what's happening - he just sees his best friend in pain.

Ignis and Gladio on the other hand realise pretty quickly what is going on.

What do they do?

Misunderstand like bosses.

Stereotype like its their dayjob.

Prom's a niff, from a dodgy enough part of Insomnia. Clearly he must be mixed up in terrible things and was keeping his drug habit a secret from them.

Spending their hard earned money on drugs. They would be furious.

Poor Prompto eventually comes out the other side of the withdrawal and rather than getting any kind of pity he's interrogated and made to feel like shit. Probably ends up in tears from how quickly they decided he was a junkie.

So he ends up caught in a terrible situation where he has to tell them what really was going on.

Oh how the turns have tabled. Ignis and Gladio are left shamefaced.  They've utterly taken away Prom's autonomy all while shitting on his character.

If you wanted it could be intensely personal - maybe it was hormone related? They've forced Prompto to out himself and he's devastated by the cruelty of their actions because they made assumptions.

Either way apologies happen. Prom is too kind and forgives too easily even though his heart is broken.

If it was some kind of medication for an illness he's also been putin a very vulnerable situation because he thinks he's going ot be left on the roadside when they drive off. But nope - Prompto gets apologies, they always make sure his prescription is filled and its Prompto's favourite dishes everyday
