Prompto has a falling out with Gladio and Ignis during WoR, mostly Gladio and of course it was over Noctis.

Gladio refuses to talk about him, as it's a painful reminder of his inability to protect Noctis and how he feels as a shield with no King to protect. 

Prompto worries it's been years and he's forgetting what it was like to hang out with Noct, so talking about him helps keep his memory strong.

They have an explosive argument. Ignis doesn't take sides but he still returns to Lestallum with Gladio so Prompto kind of feels like he has chosen.

It's been months. 

Prompto takes a supply run for Cindy which will take him to Lestallum and he hopes to mend bridges while he's there, Noctis wouldn't like to see them this way. 

He has a quite literal run in with a daemon on the way which he is quick to take care of on auto pilot. After however it takes him the bones of an hour to get the bike upright and there may have been a few frustrated tears - especially when it wouldn't start.

He hurts all over and can't put weight on his leg, head throbbing in tandem to his pounding heart. 

Stranded somewhere halfway between Hammerhead and Lestallum he spots his phone a few feet across the tarmac from him and he crawls towards it. When did he sit down?

Fortunately it's battered but still working and he pulls up Ignis' number without thinking. It goes to voicemail but he doesn't take any offense, this happened well before the fight. Ignis was a busy man but he always returned a call so long as you left a voicemail.

Unfortunately for Prompto, time is of the essence so he pulls up Gladio's number - he knows Cindy would come get him, but he's rather not drag her into danger over someone who had more experience.

Gladio picks up on the 6th ring, Prompto had taken the phone from his ear and his thumb was shaking over the disconnect call button when he heard the curt

"What?" 

He fumbles the phone back to his ear, but finds himself suddenly at a loss for what to say.

"Prompto, I don't have time for this shit"

"Yes, no, I mean I get that. " He blurts breathlessly

"Get to the point then" He hears the creak of a daemon nearby.

What was the point again?
