Work Process (Patreon)

This is the fun part where I try to actually draw out my process for you to see...

Undersketch - keeping it light with a flowing line, lots of circular guides

Sketch - you can see where I change my mind from the under sketch - Gladio's ear. Both of them really. 

That Tattoo - because i knew i was going to be greyscaling it I used a different brush to draw it on and reduced opacity of the layer slightly

The shading, I was far heavier under the tattoo because otherwise it would be unnoticable

Diffuse Lighting and clean up the edges

I'll try in future to break down the process a bit more. Often times I feel like while a sketch might be negligent my eyes are tracking where the lines are going because im so familiar with how I sketch. 

It's almost like there's lines there that only i can see.
