Personally, I wasn't disturb by the age gap because here in France, the age of consent is 15 years old, and even in our neighboring countries like Germany and the United Kingdom, the age of consent is respectively 14 and 16 yo so I guess that is the reason why it doesn't bother me as long as everyone agrees to the relationship ^^

To me the age gap in real life would be a NO.. even the thought of romancing a 17 y old when I was 26... god no.. but in fiction it depends on story for me. So for this.. I'm just going with chemistry of all the characters and the story and can enjoy.

Javi, can I just say how much I appreciate the fact that you talked so openly about your own experience being a teenager. I think this is how a common teen would really have romance or rather, sexual life in most parts of the world. I had my first time with a boy at the age of 17 and he was 15. As far as the age gap, there're so many debates about this. Of course, there are pros and cons, but ultimately it comes down to the couple's decision. Today I'm married to a man 7 years younger than me. And we just celebrated 7th anniversary (and 10th since we started dating). I mean, if there is consent and if they love each other, gap it's just a detail (obviously, legal age should always be in the equation).

In Taiwan we have kids who are in their 13-14 years of age at the beginning of their sexual life, so 17 is generally a fully grown man.

IMO age gaps are normal. when I was 17 I dated a 27 yr old and we were together for over 3 years. My husband now is 5 years older. it really depends on the couple. Some people it will work and others it won't.
