Fair Warning: I did not particularly enjoy this finale. If you did and don't want to hear someone ranting about it, then perhaps skip the Ep14 reaction, if not both all together.

This is one of my favorite and comfort series. However in every rewatch since my original watch I stop right b4 they go 🏡. I also do not love the ending

OMG, I just watched this series for the first time and couldn't agree more! I was so disappointed(and weirded out) in the final 2 episodes(mainly ep 14). This show was sooo good up until the end. I mean I was glad we had the happy ending, but so much seemed unnecessary and all that extra drama just to see Earth cry some more? I mean we get it, he can cry really well on cue. And the character of Cake was just window dressing in the finale. I also don't like that rushed ending(Cake is a writer now)? Pao winds up with Cream?? The Dad reappears? Totally agree with you, this show ended at episode 12 for me as well. It was basically perfection up until that point with 2 wonderful performances from Santa and Earth. I just had a different feeling watching those last 2 episodes, very detached.

It’s not a show if they don’t make earth cry a billion times, it’s actually crazy how I completely forgot these last two episodes bc I literally loved ep 12 and have the English kiss scene saved in my phone and I think that blinded me to the last two depressing episodes hahaha I also didn’t care for the other couple I really was here for Santa earth fully

I like this ending because it's show what life is. We are playing with ourself in every happy ending in a sense we imagine cancer disappear because 2 guys confessed to each other. That ending make the confession and their love even more precious and beautiful to me. It show the caring and compassion of Cake to Eiw. What I didn't appreciate was the rushing of events thought. Too many things are suddenly introduced to be cleared in 5 minutes (desease, dad issue...)

That’s the thing. This isn’t a slice of life series. If it were, then it would make sense to introduce these storylines earlier in the series. However, they obviously just did it to fill in time and to try to emotionally whiplash the audience, which didn’t work for me.

I totally get your points. I'm actually okay with this storyline, but the timing was kind of wrong. By adding these events in the last two episodes, everything seemed so rushed. That's basically my problem with it. Anyway, I still love this series a lot. It stood out from many other BLs and especially the acting was amazing. Who would've thought that Santa was such a great actor at his age with so little experience in acting. So proud of him! I wish we could see them together in a series again. Their chemistry is off charts. But at least we can see that they still have the sweet phi-nong relationship they always had. That makes me happy. I'm looking forward to see some clips of their upcoming birthday fanmeet. ^^

Wasn’t a fan of the finale but I loved cake & eiw! Thanks for reacting Javi 🤗

I totally agree about Santa. I liked his debut in 7 Project, but other than his supporting role in Between Us and this, he has not been in anything else. So glad he got to show off his acting chops here. He really is an complete talent, between the acting, singing and especially his dancing. I just think he is too limited by the studio he is signed with. All he seems to do lately is fan meetings. Oh well....

Actually it's not about the company. He participated in a Korean idol survival show during the last few months. Winning a show like that and being a member of a kpop group seems to be his dream. He worked extremely hard for it, practiced even late at night while the others were sleeping. He made it far, but didn't get into the group. He was thankful for the opportunity, but very sad that he didn't make it. I think he still is. So, now that he's back in Thailand, he's doing some fanmeets with Earth and Boun. I don't know what he has planned for his future. Acting, or going back to Korea to try again... We have to wait and see, I guess. I really wish we could see him acting again, but I'll support him whatever his decision is. 😊

Daddy issues? Nah JP lol but on a serious note I understand your point. I agree with I think there was some holes in the plot regarding the dad leaving. What I will say is that as someone with RESOLVED Daddy issues I think that the brother asking Cake to speak with Eiw in regards to talking to, or forgiving the father was the right thing to do. While Eiw had very valid reasons to be mad about the fact that the dad was an absent father, but it’s not healthy to carry that anger or resentment. Also as I get older there’s certain disappointments regarding my parents that I’ve had to come to terms with & realizations about them that I’ve had to accept in order to have peace within myself. I had to take myself out of the equation & look at my parents as everyday human beings. And give them the grace that I would want others to give me if I made a mistake whether it was huge or minor. In regards to parents as long as they are willing to take some accountability there’s no reason to not mend that relationship unless they’ve physically or mentally abused you & aren’t safe to be around. Losing a parent is horrible, and Eiw needed his father during that time. He also needed that healing. My mom had a stroke almost a year & a half ago. It scared me & made me realize that I don’t as much time left with my parents as we’d pray & hope for. It made me wanna be closer to my dad because deep down we are still little kids who need their parents. I’m not justifying anything! I’m just saying life is too short to harp on things that we cannot change. In terms of the ending as a whole I liked it. It was raw & real. Death can be unexpected, and unpredictable. I simply looked at it as Eiw transitioning into another stage of life. He finally got the love he was longing for & he also lost his mother upon he journey of growth. The series definitely had its plot hole but ultimately I give it a 8.5 out of 10.

I think I read once that the series was actually supposed to have 16 episodes. As a result of a budget cut midway through production, the series was shortened to 14 episodes, meaning some storylines could not be handled well. I really liked the series

Iv stopped myself after episode 12 I don’t think I have it in me to watch the end 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️ especially reading the comments. Think I will leave it there x

I watched this with you and I agree. The mom dying is so unnecessary. Ep12 should have been the last. Cake's confession monologue would have ended the show with a bang.
