I'm so happy you've been loving yinwar!! Love mechanics is definitely very cliché, and i normally wouldn't be into a series this messy, but there's just something about yinwar's portrayal of these characters that i'm really into! like yin as vee?? he's so charming i'd fold in a second 💀 and war is imo one of the best actors in bl!! also not to be out here spreading the yinwar agenda but they have a short 3 ep series called the best story, if u feel like checking that out 🥰 and if you're in the mood to laugh, WxY and laneige weekend are my go to!!

I agree with you!!! Most of this series feels so tropey and unnecessary drama wise... you worded it so nicely! (I am, however, a fan of understated slow dramas like old fashioned cupcake... so maybe that also has something to do w it). Now give these actors some good plot next pls, bc they really are quite good!

Same as the comments above. The writing is very cliché and not very good but the actors are so amazing that I can't help but be into this show. I didn't feel this episode was unnecessary though because I think it was important for Vee and Mark to have some time to process things. I've had this feeling though for the first half of next episode.... Thank you for your reactions. I find your analysis and points of view to be always well worded and measured... which I really appreciate. Ps: I second the comment above about Yinwar's the best story. Very short but very moving.

Tbh when I saw the announcement for the longer love mechanics in my head I thought the recap stuff with ploy would only take 3-5 eps and then it would go to new things plot wise like them in couple life with new and different challenges like meeting the family or like uk love rivals or something but so far it just feels like they extended the original ploy plot for way too long and the fluff I wanted hasn’t come yet. Not that I dislike the show it’s just not what I had envisioned when I saw the longer version love mechanics announcement

Side note that isn’t related but I saw another comment talking about next kdramas. I’m team itaewon class it was soo good and I think the message it portrays is really good and there is a lot to talk about in that one OR flower of evil which is a genuine masterpiece like chefs kiss of a kdrama

Thanks for your reactions. I adore this show, and rewatching with you always gives me a new perspective on things 😊 You hit the nail on the head at the beginning. Most of the show, Vee has been going through his own things. He likes Mark but he hasn't been ready for a relationship. We feel sympathy for Vee right now because we saw his side of things, but Mark is not wrong to finally put himself first and protect himself 💖🌈 Would this episode move a bit quicker if conflict-avoidant Vee opened his mouth and just talked to Mark? Sure. Would that be in character for our dumb boy? Probably not lmao 😂
