Sketchbook #34 (Patreon)

I've been having a lot of trouble coming up with ideas recently, so my method lately is "just put something down," so sorry if these seem pretty all over the place! I'm hoping the holidays will be like a hard reset for my mind hahah

I drew the Chiyo from memory, so she might be a little off! I'd like to do an Azumanga Daioh print one day, though. I also started watching Haruhi Suzumiya for the first time in over a decade, which is kind of surreal. It feels like some kind of time capsule.

The blue sketches are discarded thumbnails for an illustration for Grace Needs Space, the graphic novel I've been working on with Random House. They were just to get us thinking about what kind of composition we'd like to see, so they're pretty rough! (I'm excited to eventually show the one we ended up going with!)

The cats are Rumple and Ruby! Lately they've been getting along pretty well!
