“They cried cause the bitch was dead” pretty apt description of the inciting incident of T.P. Also, the show keeps going on and on about what a special person she was and how everybody loved her; when the only reason given for people liking her is because she pretty. I liked The Return better because it focused on other characters who are far more interesting than teary-eyed Laura.

He should just finish the pilot, watch FWWM and then to the return. He could always go back to the start if he gets sucked in.

Ive seen more movies than TJ has on that list and he still made it farther on Twin Peaks than I did.

Ill defend tj on this but if you watch a movie thats so boring to you that you cant remember the plot, that doesnt mean you “didnt watch it” it means the movies failed to grasp your attention, now granted tjs garbage but if you applied this dumb logic to anything else you couldnt criticize anything

David Lynch is definitely a divisive director. Having seen all of his major work I have to say, I hate it. I really didn’t like Twin Peaks but we had a David Lynch challenge among my friend group to see who could make it through the most movies/shows. I know people who love him but honestly I think they are doing most of the heavy lifting by investing meaning and symbolism into characters and stories that quite frankly make no sense. But I’m not going to say don’t watch it, it will definitely be a memorable experience either way.
