I think the mad scientist was heavily Influenced by Fritz Lang's Metropolis (1927) I recommend it to anyone who hasn’t seen it; it'd also be a cool one to stream (maybe too much reading since it's silent.) There's so many elements in it that became modern conventional tropes. It's really interesting to see the origins of popular aesthetics and archetypes.

Yes and I miss the old Commentary nights like Mario Bros, Bad Ben or Bride of the Monster etc. They were my favourite thing here for years.
