it’s really interesting to get a look into nick’s family life outside of just his mum! it’s almost like, compared to charlie’s bullies at school, nick’s own bully lives in his house — and it’s not mentioned explicitly in the show, but he and david have never had a good relationship.

Another great episode (you'll notice I'll keep saying that for the rest of the season lol). Loved that we got to see the family dynamics of some of the characters. I adore Tao's mom, she's one of my new faves this season!! I also can't wait for you to see more of Tao this season. Elle and the new friends are an awesome addition too! I can't imagine how amazing it must feel for people who are like Elle, Felix and Naomi to have characters like them. We didn't see much of Charlie's parents in s1, only his dad had a few scenes so it was interesting that they showed more of them too. The mom might be strict and a little reluctant about Nick and Charlie dating but as you pointed out, she's trying to remind Charlie that he still needs to be responsible. The one thing I didn't like is how she implied that the relationship with Nick might not last, just a highschool love but if she'd get to really learn more about them, she'd realise how wrong she is (but I can't blame her for thinking it either, after all they're both so young.) Nick's brother... he's a real dick... really don't like him, but the actor did a great job making us hate him from his very first scene. I love that Nick insists on telling David that he's bi, it's very important to not have bi erasure, which often happens once a bi person is with with someone of the same gender... Nick and Charlie are just as wholesome and cute as ever!!!! The date in the park, the music, Nick sharing the pic of Charlie and Nellie! My heart!!! I love the way the episode ended with Tao saying he likes Elle ! We all cheered! Excited for your next reaction ! Also, it's going to be so funny for you to be finishing MSP, watching Heartstopper and reacting to Only Friends, like you could compare that to Modern Family / Shameless gap XD It's going to be so fun!!! And I so cannot wait for your reaction of the first episode of Only Friends!!!
