Something I love about the funeral was the way they kept including both future parents in the same frame (Korn's little brother and In's niece). I found it beautiful. It's an interesting question what's raised in this episode, is their love real or not? I think the answer is yes just because of the fact that they have a soul connection. It could even be because of it that Korn and In were in love, because Earth (Intouch) said his character fell in love with Korn at first sight, so maybe that wasn't the first time they found each other? That's just a theory of mine. But Pharm questioning the real nature of their feelings makes so much sense, I have no doubt I would wonder the same thing. The last scene is full of symbolism. Dean carried Pharm over the threshold, he changed his last name for In's (Pharm's), he put a ring on Pharm's finger, and he finally got a yes when he asked Pharm to live together (the "proposal" in countries without equal marriage). I agree with your opinion about the show (except the music thing, I do like it the way it is). 12 episodes with a faster pace and way less filling scenes would have been better. But as far as I know our opinion on this matter is not the general consensus! LOL! Oh, planning to watch Between Us but not to react to it? T_T Ok T_T Me not sad at all T_T Thank you so much, Liam!! ^^

The funeral scene is heartbreaking. For some reason, when I watched this episode it skipped to part 2 and so I watched the funeral bit after the condo scene. It really hit different and I think I would have put it later in the episode, after Korn’s brother told Pharm and Dean how guilty both dads felt afterwards. It would have worked better with the whole red string thibg as well, because you can really understand and see the overwhelming guilt both father ferl in that scene. The acting in the condo scene was some of the best in the entire series. I also love the lights and the way it was shot with transitions to their past selves. I also think Dean as Korn apologising for causing so much pain with his suicide was really well done. When he realised suicide is such a selfish act and it's the people who are left behind who in the end suffer the most... so heartbreaking... The separation, I get it. Pharmacie must have felt so confused and overwhelmed at the same time, plus his dreams were not helping. But I get it, him wondering if he truly has feelings for Dean or if it was just because of their past lives. I did not really like the pacing post time skip. It felt a bit all over the place, rushing to conclude all the characters’ storylines in a short amount of time. But nevertheless, I was happy to have more scènes with the group of friends. The last scene when Dean and Pharm reunited was really beautiful and moving. And the dream with Korn and In finally at peace and happy was also great. Overall, I really enjoyed the story and both couples were great to watch. I definitely preferred the storyline about how they learnt more and more about their past lives, the way the families were linked and how it's all revealed that they kept in touch after In’s and Korn’s deaths. I liked the group of friends a lot too, sad we did not get more of them as the story progressed. I agree about the soundtrack... that cheery tune was so annoying at times and it's back for Between Us too... I loved the songs though but they did feel a little overused at time. Sometimes, the music really gave more to the scene, especially the dramatic instrumental piano tune that played during big reaveals or emotional scenes. Bit other times, the music brought nothing or worse gave a completely different feeling to the scene than what it was meant to be. As you said, the pacing was too slow at times and the series would have benefited being a couple episode shorter. Some series need longer time to fully develop, it was the case with 10 years tickets which had 18 episode but it never felt too slow, the story was well paced with good balance for each side plot. As for Moonlight chicken, it's 8 episodes and the pacing is just so right. I don't really know what to say about the pacing in between us, I haven't finished it yet, but it does feel like scenes aren't dragging and the plot goes forward each episode. It's been an interesting journey watching this series and your reactions to it. Can't wait too see what you’ll think of Moonlight chicken and My School President. That one definitely has an awesome soundtrack with lots of great tunes (9 original songs and lots of covers), which fits so well with the storyline of each episode.
