This episode made me laugh so much..I just love the cheese of 90's tv, especially this series..there is so much charm to it so even if this season is weaker you can still have fun watching it one thing it never is is boring lol...the part when she hit delete and that random dude that just popped out when they were saying rumors about buffy made me choke..that was so funny and sunlight scene made me laugh so hard for like 5 min xD I haven't watched season 1 in a long time so there is some stuff I forgot about that made me laugh Also the introduction of the Hellmouth being in Sunnydale is a huge thing and very important for the series going forward so I wonder if maybe they did the end of the world plot early to establish that or not? not very sure. But this one was super enjoyable Nonetheless I laughed a lot and the reaction was a blast to watch. Also little bit more trivia joss whedon planned to kill Jesse from the start but he wanted to trick the audience wanted Jesse's actor to be in the opening credits but they couldn't afford to make another opening becuse their budget was so small. Super super excited for the next episode! Even the terrible ones I'm looking forward too they are gonna be fun xD

It's so weird it made you skip so much... no wonder you were confused. I think back in the days, tv shows pilots had to be all out from the start to make sure the show would get picked up by a network and later on would hook the viewers. If you look back to 90s and early 2000s shows, it's almost all shows starting with a bang. Also, season finales were often written as series finale in case the show wouldn't get a new season. The puns in Buffy are fantastic, one liners are also really funny. I really like the cheesiness lol, it makes me nostalgic of other shows I used to watch growing up. Willow is a savage, wether it's throwing the holy water at the vampire or leading Cordelia to delete her whole project. I love Willow. I laughed when you had your theory about Luke becoming a main threat or anti-hero later on 😂😂 The last line "The Earth is doomed" such a classic! I think you are definitely going to enjoy watching this show. Even if s1 is a bit rough with some questionable stories, it's still enjoyable. Plus the cast of characters is really good, can't wait for you to watch all their future adventures.

Something important because you were a bit confused about Xander's reactions: This was 1997. Xander has the normal behaviour a male main character would have in a tv show from that time. The girl wouldn't be leading in the first place, but it she did like Buffy does the boy would at least try to show the same amount of corage. Otherwise he would be less than a man. That's also why Xander killing Jesse was purposely an anti-climax (he killed him by accident). They were reversing 1997 audience's expectations. I'm really enjoying your Buffy videos, Liam, thank you so much!!
