Just catching up on these since the news about Ncuti Gatwa (Eric) being the new Doctor in Doctor Who. Best casting choice I've heard in a long time! You might have to dip your foot into the most British of British TV programs now to see that. Also, given your Oedipal crush on Gillian Anderson, you really should try at least a little bit of The X-files at some point to see her in her most iconic role. And also because you always talk about who you "ship" and the term shipping, shipper, or to ship was born on X-Files message board back in the day, so you probably should check out the literal original ship.

This episode is my favorite of the show. Not because everything about it is just so well written and acted but because of the girls’ scenes. This is a must watch episode because these matters are important to adress. Young teens need to know about it and be aware of this. The groping in public places.... the having to walk with your keys in your hands as a weapon... this is so real, relatable and sadly still too common... Aimee’s breakdown is heartbreaking and seeing all the girls having experienced some kind of sexual harassment as well was sad but also, so relatable. I love that this scene was just the girls and that they had the voice to talk about these issues. (I’m not saying that other genders can’t be victims of such harassment) and when they all unite by the end, it feels so good, like they've taken their power back in a way, especially Aimee going back on the bus. I also love that Ola took them to the place to smash stuff, that definitely looks so therapeutic. The rest of the episode is really good too. I really loved the scene between Jackson and his mom. I’m really thrilled that Ncuti Gatwa is going to be the next doctor, so excited to see what he’ll do with the role after Jodie’s departure. Doctor who is a great show, a bit confusing at times (or a lot), silly, serious, funny, scary.... it's quite the ride!
