First things first: a reminder that at the end of 2x13, there is a short after credits scene (and I am SO excited, 2x13 is my favorite episode of television... ever and I'm sure I'll have a nice looong post once you watch that) This episode is such a good episode. Very hard to watch. Something about Mason cutting into his own face, feeding it to the dogs, and then eating himself is probably one of the hardest visuals to get through in all 3 seasons. But yes, all the doggies are okay and that's the important part to be honest!! lol I love seeing Bedelia's actress and then seeing her in Sex Ed. Playing therapists in both but playing two VASTLY different personalities. It's no real surprise she killed her patient, but I like how she puts it about Hannibal "what Hannibal does isn't coercion. It is persuasion." In a way that's even more terrifying because coercion is 100% forced, but persuasion makes you feel as if it was your choice to do a thing, even if that thing is horrible, but it wasn't actually of your own free will when you did it because your free will was twisted. And on that note, I love seeing Hannibal and Will trying to *persuade* each other into killing Mason. Everything always comes back around. And Mason lived. Hannibal is a doctor, he would probably know how to break someone's neck without severing their brainstem, and this is perfect because now Mason can't hurt anyone and Margot gets to "take care of him" so he has to rely on her meaning she is in charge now and gets to keep her livelihood. However, on that note of killing or not killing Mason... Will DID say that he would arrest Hannibal should he try to kill Mason... and he clearly was there. He really could have arrested him right then and there for attempted murder like he told Jack that he would... but he did not and now Mason is telling everyone he fell into the pig pen. I wonder if Jack is just going "what the fuck happened". And you wondering whether or not Jack is aware Will is sending Hannibal after him... well all shall be revealed in time... I'm SO excited for 2x13 like you have no idea. I have so much to say about it and I bet I will remember absolutely none of it once you watch it lmao
