Your confusion is so entertaining to watch ahaha. I love Dan and Blair both ways. Although, you are right a purely platonic friendship would have been the ideal. I think at its core they have great influence on each other. Despite hiccups like Dan releasing the tape it’s one of the most healthiest relationship/dynamic on the show which is crazy. They’ve both grown so much as characters since season 4. Dan is so much more tolerable than S1. I love how confident he became in the scene with Chuck. He read him so well. It’s the fact that Dan has a genuine chance that has filed Chuck up so much. And to be fair to Serena she reacted amazingly so I’ll give her props. Oh Nate. I really wonder why they write him this way. He has some interesting storylines throughout the show but for long periods of time he’s either doing nothing or bouncing between different women. Perhaps it’s to flesh out the other serious romances but it’s still so meh.

Haha I love how you can't decide if you ship Dan and Blair as best friends or a romantic relationship. i loved their friendship but yeah I also came round to their relationship. And I agree with you about Serena, I often can't stand her but she was decent in this episode.
