An odd season finale. I COMPLETELY forgot that the “cousin” was an actress. No clue how that happened lmao. I honestly could care less about that whole storyline but seeing Georgina again was great. Now the Chuck and Blair situation sigh.... As much as I dislike this thing between them this season, I actually really loved that final scene between them where they move on. It’s one of my favourites on the show. Its different to all the dramatic scenes they shared throughout the season and felt honest. I do hate that they had sex though there was no point to it at all. They could’ve cut out the abuse scene and the sex scene and still come to the same sweet conclusion of letting each other go. In fact it would’ve worked better because as you said this whole situation has been bordering on obsession this season. Louis deserves much more than to be cheated on. He really waited all night whilst Chuck waited two minutes. I understand Blair I guess? She felt confused and at that moment found it easy to return to old habits. It still sucks and doesn’t justify her actions of course. I’m happy Chuck noticed how fucked up Blair giving up happiness for him would be. She’s happy with Louis and she thinks she shouldn’t want it because that’s not been her experience was Chuck so it’s scary. But honestly as much as Louis was a standup guy it’s a bit crazy that he’s willing to continue this marriage after all this😂 like your fiancé ran away with her ex come on? Ignoring Serena I like how everything wrapped up here. Dan and Blair being the best of friends was everything this season. Your right, seeing them really does show how lifeless and superficial Blair and Serena’s friendship is.
