I agree when you said that watching one episode per week is better than binge watching. I actually just sort of binge watched the first season and the half of the second one (like sevral episodes a week) to catch up for the last episodes of season 2 still airing at the time. It was a friend of mine who got me to watch the show :) for the last 3 seasons, I watched them as they aired, apart from the series 3 opening two episodes that I watched at the London premiere, which is to this day one of my favorite memories in this fandom :D I also really enjoy looking forward to your reactions every week and I'm happy to have it last as long as possible :) It's a great journey and it's best appreciated on the long term rather than binging it. Onto the episode, this one intoduced another favorite secondary character for me : Princess Mithian :D She's quite lovable and has good chemistry with Arthur too. I also love seeing Arthur totally fail at flirting with her, Bradley's just so adorably awkward in the scene when he invites her for breakfast. Merlin is such a jealous possessive boyfriend in this episode and we live for it !!! Just the way Colin acted those scenes just screams pettiness and jealousy. The picnic scene with Merlin's eyeroll XD perfect !!! When Helios says "There's still pleasure to be had here"... darkest line on the show, fortunately for Gwen, she's a character from Merlin and not Game of Thrones.... You missing Morgana's smirks XD Oh my, you should watch "BBC Merlin - The smirk of doom" which is the combination of all the times Morgana is smirking in season 3 XD I definitely prefer Katie's acting in season 4 in that regard, she appears more threatening and dangerous. Sometimes I even almost feel bad for Agravaine, the way she talks to him, then I remember Agravaine is a giant bad of d*cks and I'm all for Morgana making him quake in fear. Merlin's back to his complaining about Arthur to Gaius... He just sounds like a nagging wife in those scenes XD Arthur threatening Merlin with banishment twice this episode makes me sad though... I get that Arthur is hurt but Merlin's only ever showed him support. Also, last episode, Arthur was willing to trust Merlin and listen to him and yet in this episode he immediately gets angry when Merlin tells him about Agravaine. But I also get that Arthur, who has no other family left, is unwilling to doubt Agravaine. After all, we saw it in an earlier episode, when he started suspecting him, he was quite reluctant to do so at that time too. Morgana's plan was clever, stealing the map without actually stealing it. Also the spell she used is the same one Merlin used to copy the family crest for Lancelot in season 1, to forge his seal of nobility :) Gwen's outfit is really beautiful this episode, and her scene with Helios gave me Sheerazad vibes. Mithian's scene with Merlin has to be my favorite of the episode. I love how, she was barely in Camelot for a few days and she immeditately caught on the bond between Merlin and Arthur. With Merlin being so against her, she definitely sensed that he had a good reason to do so and that was in Arthur's best interest. And with Arthur, she noticed that he values Merlin's opinion above all others. I don't think Arthur actually told her that, he would never, that prat, but she must have noticed how much Arthur mentioned Merlin to her, and how Merlin's always there by his side. Mithian is very observant and I love that about her. Also, how cute is Merlin's little smile when she says about Arthur that he's a lovable person underneath it all. Merlin going to find Gwen after she was injured is my second favorite moment. I just love Merlin and Gwen's friendship and I'm so glad that they reunited this episode. I feel sad for Gwen who is not aware she was victim of an enchantment and is still feeling guilty and refuses to come back... And even Merlin can't tell her about the bracelet since he doesn't know about it... When Arthur says "doomed to be a bachelor" always makes me laugh, poor guy, at least he still has his Merlin :) <3 his lovable wise idiot :) I'm really looking forward to the next episode reaction !! The preview does look epic with all the slow mo shots and the glimpes to the fights. As a Merthur shipper, there a re a few jems in the next episode that I'm sure you'll love :D Also, I love that you keep mentioning "A servant of two masters", definitely is one my favortie episode too ! Jealous and petty Merlin is just the best !!! I'm really looking forward to next week, be it just one or two reactions :D Have a good end of the weekend :)
