If you remember from the game night ep (AKA barney's past ep), Future Ted mentions that Marshall is crazy good at board games, so much so that he makes his own. So him understanding how to play that game that led to Barney's victory ties into that character lore. As the seasons go on, you'll get a lot of callbacks to prev character lores. Next week, you'll get to see one of Robin's (a HUGE fan-favourite by everyone who's watched HIMYM). Can't wait to see how you react to that!

Oh Swarley, my favorite character :D I agree with you, with all that you said about Lilly and Marschall, I love them as a couple but I would have been so disappointed if they had really gotten married without wanting a real ceremony with all their family and friends. The jokes and especially the recurring jokes are well done on the show :D Also, I really cannot wait for you to watch the next episode, it's one of my favorite of the season :D I'm all for you getting that t-shirt and wearing it on a future reaction ;) As usual, your himym ractions are really entertaining and fun to watch.
