This two parter is definitely one of my favorite of the entire show ! The build up in the first part until the reveal with Morgana, so good !!!! And then the second part with everything just coming into place with Arthur finding the round table, all the knights being there, Lancelot's return, the return of Freya and Excalibur ! Just everything fits so seemlessly and I still get really hyped for this episode everytime I watch it ! And Morgana is a great villain and you can just see how unhinged she becomes as the show goes on but this episode definitely hits the mark with her last scene when she screams and destroys part of the castle. You just know she's going to remain a big threat in the future and she's definitely gotten more powerful than at the beginning of the season. Arthur and Merlin are what make me love the show so much, but I also really love the friendship between Lancelot and Merlin. Finally Merlin has someone (other than Gaius) who he can be himself with. Their talk in the night has to be one of my favorite of the episode "you're the one Arthur should knight. You're the bravest of us all and he doesn't even know" that line makes me feel sad for Merlin, especially when you think back of that scene in episode 11 when Merlin tells Gilly how lonely it is to have to pretend that he's less than who he is all the time. I'm just glad at least that now Merlin has Lancelot back and he'll feel less lonely. When you said that the show does payback well, you're really right, the way it was done with Lancelot is just perfect. The fans definitely enjoyed his return!! Back then I used to look at pics taken from when they were filming in France but I don't remember if fans spotted Santiago Cabrera filming, I think it was kept quite under wraps. I did see Tom Hopper who plays Percival though, we spotted him a few times and since we had no idea who he was supposed to be, we nicknames him "sexy arms" because well, he does have sexy arms XD Another knight who quickly became a fan favorite ;) Well all the knights were fan favorites at this point, we were just so excited to get the knights of the round table after waiting for them for so long :D The round table scene is so beautiful, but there is a little but really significant moment that has been cut: When everyone was already sitting at the table, Merlin remained a bit further away and Arthur caught his gaze and nodded to him to the seat on his right. I don't know if that scene was scripted or if it was just in between takes and it was actually Bradley telling Colin to get in place so that they could start shooting the scene, or if it was to meant to show Arthur pointing to his right and telling Merlin without words that the seat belonged to Merlin. Either way, it's a shame they did not keep it because it would have shown that despite just being a servant, Arthur aknowledged that Merlin deserved a seat, and not just any seat, the one of his right, which to me is the most important one. Especially when we know in the legends, Merlin was Arthur's most trusted adviser, this would have been a perfect scene to keep in. You can see that scene in the behind the scenes of season 3, it's a blink and you'll miss it moment but as a Merthur shipper, I definitely noticed it and I'm still a little mad they did not keep it in. I would link you the promo for season 4, but I just re-watched it and it's really spoilery so it's better that you don't watch it. You'll definitely have to watch the one for season 5 though because it is so good ! They used the song "Knights of Cydonia" by Muse for the trailer and it's just perfect ! so you'll definitely have to watch that one when you get round to it. OMG I just can't belive you're already going to start season 4, I'm so looking forward to your reactions, especially to one particular episode which I know you're going to love. Ok so now, before starting season 4, you definitely need to watch the searies 2 and 3 outtakes, also the little quests that Colin and Bradley did by the end of season because I know you love Arthur and Merlin so you are definitely going to love watching the quests . Colin and Bradley are such goofballs together. Also, if you haven't watched them yet, the cast video diaries from season 1 and of course "Colin Morgan and Bradley James - You're the voice" Enjoy the pure awesomeness and see you for next reaction :D
