The way a lot of fans are hating on Season 4 really irritates me haha, I feel like they just fixate on any flaws and ignore all the good stuff (of which there's plenty). It might not be a perfect 10/10, but 8/10 Haikyuu is still really good. Partly I think people had their expectations set too high from the Shiratorizawa game - matching that was always going to be unrealistic for a number of reasons.

to be honest I think the adaptation doesnt feel as good as season 3. I am not only talking about animation. The story direction also doesnt feel as good as previous seasons. I suggest to everyone who likes the anime to read the manga. This match was amazing in the manga and haikyuu works surprisingly well in manga form. Just my 2 cents

Dominik is 100% spot on, Shiratorizawa game was faithfully adapted, on the other hand, ever since the studio opted to reduce the Tokyo qualifiers to a 2 ep OVA, most matches have seemed EXTREMELY rushed. There seems to be less weight in the important points/serves, I think due to the studio's attempt for the animation to be more "fluid", but the more "jarring" style of the old seasons (eg. THE block in S3E4) is more similar to the manga, and suits the series much better IMO
