I remember someone on Twitter saying something like "Hinata isn't your favourite character but Hinata is your favourite character" and I think that's really accurate lol

Has there ever been a bad episode of Haikyuu? I honestly can't think of a single one and that is odd for 4 seasons of any show.

Hinata's growth in this season truly is amazing he was always really endearing to me but this season solidified him as my favorite character. can't wait for 2nd cour of this season in october you're gonna love him even more!

I think it was episode 4 (not 100%) when Kageyama was at the Youth Camp, there was a moment when the libero on his side received the ball and immediately move out of Kageyama's way so he could attack. This scene is a call back to that moment. Noya was not as aware as the other libero that he was blockign the attacker approach. Evolution can be messy at times, but once it comes together watch out. I love Hinata he is such a catalyst to push the other characters both on Karasuno and the other teams. Hinata has always seen Kageyama being "the king" as a GOOD thing, everyone else saw it as BAD. You can have a benevolent king who leads and strengthens and you can have a bad king who tears their kingdom down.

I actually just watched this one last week and it’s one of my favorite episodes in the entire show. I love how much they are focusing on Hinata and Kageyama as individuals and less on using each other. They are becoming one with themselves and that personal growth for both of them on their own is just as rewarding as seeing their rivalry grow into mutual respect in the first 3 seasons. This new dynamic gives both characters so much strength to stand on their own especially Hinata. I think it was genius to split them both up at the start of the season. Seeing the fruit of that labor is just such a rewarding experience that’s why I love this anime so damn much. Everything has purpose and meaning.
