I might have said this before, but something you should keep in mind when watching BSG, is the time period that it was being shown on Network television. This was right in the middle of the War of on Terror, with all the debates about things like waterboarding etc, and 'extraordinary rendition' etc.

Imagine that he goes to Adama with the knowledge that Boomer's a Cylon... and Adama turns out to be a cylon as well ... not going to end well. Safer just to bury his head in the sand lol
