Trying out another slightly different painting style. Usually I build up the base shading and highlights with a default soft round brush, and then sprinkle some texture layers on top to make it look like paper or canvas.

This time I started with a textured brush to lay down the initial rough shadows and highlights, then added more refined layers of shadows and light on top.

Hope you like this coloring style, I plan to use it more often! Still lots to improve on but I think it's a step in the right direction to hand-paint the textures instead of blending a canvas texture on top of the whole picture.
