Nicole Saves Lady Thor - pg2 [Comic] [Commission] (Patreon)

By Odin's beard – this was a big one! Breaks my record for most detail and time spent on a single page of anything to date! I wanted to follow up page 1 of this 2pg comic commission with the same style of grayscale shading - plus color lighting for the blue thunderbolts and orange/yellow lava and fire. I'm starting to really like this style for comics, even though it's just as time consuming as full color. Any feedback you have on this style is welcome! 

As a refresher here's page 1:

There was a lot to pack into page 2, Mjolnir and Sutur are competing for Nicole's attention, so it was a tall order but I'm pretty happy with how it came out! The orange and blue lighting is a nice combo to work with for minimal colors.

There's one alternate version of this page with a brighter glow to the eyes, since some folks like that and some don't. Nicole's eyes are the only difference between the A and B versions.

In the future I may break full-page comic commissions up into smaller thirds like these, so you guys don't have to wait so long between updates when I'm working on something big.

I won't be starting page 3 of this anytime soon, but Jason (the commissioner) and I already have an idea on the backburner for how to continue this series with more Nicole vs Sutur action. Nicole hardly got to have any fun with such a short battle, but Sutur can always be reborn by dropping her horns into the eternal flame of Asgard... and that gives Nicole an idea...
