CMP Update - Comics hiatus (Patreon)
Content
Well, my friends, where do I begin?
I'm sharing this now because the next payment cycle is due soon and honestly, I feel it would be disrespectful to you all for that money to be processed knowing that I'm so unlikely to meet the content expectations. If you feel as if you need to cancel or reduce your pledges, I understand and hope you know there are no hard feelings. You support on the promise of certain things and I'm saying that those promises aren't going to be met fore the foreseeable future. If you're in that situation / category, make sure to do it before the next payment cycle begins. I truly don't want a single one of you to be left feeling raw due to this!
The situation here with Mrs Wife's back injury has gotten to the point where I can't work as I have been. She's unable to look after our Little Witcher during the hours I need to work, so, with the heaviest of hearts, I am going to put the comics (Adventures of Alynnya Slatefire and Furious Angels) on hold for the time being.
I've put my all into this (the comic, my patreon) for years and this isn't something I do lightly or without weeks of thought and serious contemplation.
I am going to keep streaming at weekends to create artwork for people to enjoy - posting here in HD and 8k. The high rate of interruptions during my working time just makes comic creation nigh on impossible so pictures seems like the best way to progress here. I still need to think through the details and schedule of what I can do.
Those of you who've gotten to know me know that I pride myself on not giving up, working as hard as I can and doing what needs to be done. This is not the end of things. This is a necessary change I have to make to keep the CMP family going. I'm not gonna lie - writing this makes me sad. Having said that, this is what I need to do and there ain't nothing in the world that can stop me doing what I need to do.
I'll be streaming Saturday afternoon (1pm onwards) and Sunday as usual on Picarto so if you want to come discuss things with me, please do. The support you've all shown me is truly astounding and my gratitude to all of you burns like thermite! I'll figure out the schedule for the future and keep you all up to date. If you gotta go, you gotta go, and I hope to see you again in the future.
Stay safe. Stay healthy. And thank you to you all, my friends!
