Sup Rangers,

I... am truly exhausted. My wife and I have the flu. Our gorgeous, perfect, amazing little one, now three and a half weeks old, won't sleep unless its in our arms.

Nobody will be charged for this month and I'll still be creating things and posting them here but I can't do 5 deadlines and 60+ hours a week at the moment.

It's not in my nature to give up and I'm not, but I have to be realistic. My wife and daughter need me and I can't afford to burn out again. I don't get vacation days and I don't get sick pay - I'm not complaining, this is the life I chose and worked to build.

I will get caught up on outstanding commissions this month (no arguments, please) and I will reply to every comment, Discord message and email in time so please don't be offended it I don't get back to you immediately.

There's 1500+ posts and hundreds and hundreds of comic pages to enjoy, more than can be enjoyed in a month, but if you have to leave the Rangers, there'll be no ill-will or hard feelings from me.

If you're a discord user and want to chat, send me a message or want to discuss things in the chat include "@callmeplissken" in your message so I get notified otherwise it'll get lost in the general conversation. We have Discord Rangers in every time zone so it's never quiet.

My patreon will resume on the 2nd of January 2019 and I will still post everything I create here first, but for now, my family needs me.

Alex

The Phoenix King

That's perfectly okay, dude, my sister is going through the exact same thing raising her daughter, so this experience seems pretty typical. At the end of the day, your health and that of your family, particularly your child's wellbeing at this early stage, take priority, so take as much time as you need. We'll be here for you.

Thanks PK. It means a lot to me :) I think I was just about managing to juggle everything but both of us getting sick at the same time took us by surprise - we'd both been trying to pretend we weren't sick, but it completely wrecked us. We're fighting back now and LW is still a happy little bundle ;)
