Introducing Evie / "Duality" - Ranger Champion commission (Patreon)

You all know what I'm gonna say, right? About how drawing people's characters and creations is one of the coolest things about my job as a comic artist and illustrator, especially when I get the honour to be the first to do so and contribute to the character? Fortunately, Ranger Champion KatieD has provided me with a brief overview and a more detailed bio / background for her latest creation (attached as a PDF), Evie. KatieD has developed a special class of Rithian Ranger too. So much awesome.

I would like to introduce you to Evangeline, more commonly known as “Evie.”

Evie is a Rithian Ranger who is a member of the Codex Cryptae, a secret classification within the graduate classes of the Ranger Academy.  

Officially, Evie reports to senior Ranger leadership as a scribe, a historian, and a cryptographer—while acting on behalf of the Cryptae.  

Conflicting facets of her identity once threatened to consume Evie.   Two mentors helped her harness strength from each facet.  In her own words:

“To see all that I have seen is not a choice I would recommend to anyone.  But had I not, I might be a single shadow of who I am today.  And I would not hold the power to choose which shadows I want to unleash.”
