Ronia knew the Shepherds organization from books she had been reading. One of her favorites was the story of Tasrin, which took place in one of the temples that had layers of secrets and big surprises. Shepherds were well-known regulators of slavery. They made sure that enslavers didn't mistreat their slaves. But they also regulated the life of the slaves. Ronia closed her laptop and leaned forward while the serious voice of the speaker continued lonely speech. Then, after long forewords, there is something that gets Ronia's attention. "Remember different forms of slavery. If you are in danger of failing your payments to the bank and it looks likely that they will take your freedom through enforcement authority, there is an option. We, the Department of Shepherds, are ready to buy your loan if you enter the indentured servant's agreement. It is an agreement to serve in slavery until the debt is paid. It is better than letting enforcement authorities send you to slavery through a court order." 

Ronia was in silence. She took a long sip of wine and repeated the message in her mind. If she were not going to get a job soon, she would be in trouble with the bank. She was not alone. There were a lot of graduating students who shared her situation.
